Climate Neutral Now

On April 01, 2021, the company joined a distinguished group of stakeholders from around the world in the efforts to achieve the goals of Paris agreement, while also supporting the fulfilment of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

As part of this pledge, the company will undertake following actions:

1. Measure our emissions
2. Reduce them as much as possible
3. Contribute to offsetting projects

The ‘Climate Neutral Now’ Initiative is an initiative launched by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) secretariat to support organizations to act now in order to achieve a climate neutral world by 2050, as enshrined in the Paris Agreement. CLIMATE NEUTRAL is a NOW commitment to limiting the amount of greenhouse gases emitted by human activity to the levels that trees, soil and oceans can absorb naturally.

We are delighted to announce that we are a CARBON NEUTRAL organization now. We have achieved a “Bronze” for 2020 and a “Silver” for 2021 from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) on climate reporting under the Climate Neutral Now initiative.

Navitas Solar is humbled to announce CARBON NEUTRALITY for CY 2021. In accordance with UN targets and Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), we have carried out the assessment of GHG emissions. Navitas Solar has majorly invested in clean energy generation to offset carbon emissions and has achieved Carbon Neutrality for the calendar year 2021. We are proud to receive a “Silver” Badge from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) on climate reporting under the ‘Climate Neutral Now’ initiative for outstanding accomplishment in managing carbon emissions. Though we are already promoting sustainability by being in the solar sector for a decade, this time we have taken one more step to promote sustainability and in this way, we will continue our green journey. We are keenly working on building a sustainable organization and working towards the global clean energy drive through practical solutions.
