Blood Donation Camp Report

A Blood Donation Camp was organized to celebrate 9^th foundation day of Navitas Solar with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel blood bank in association with HDFC bank at Navitas Solar Factory on 12^th February, 2022 from 11 am to 3 pm.  The camp began at 11:00 am with a short inaugural function and the team of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel blood bank was very well informed about Navitas Solar and the venue.

Mr. Hemanshu Desai, DGM, Accounts encouraged all the donors by saying “Gift of Blood is Gift of Life”. He thanked all the donors for the noble steps they have taken to help the ones in need. When Mr. Aditya Singhania (Director, Navitas Solar), Mr. Ankit Singhania (Director, Navitas Solar), Mr. Vineet Mittal(Director, Navitas Solar),  Mr. Akshay Aggarwal(Director, Navitas Alpha Renewables Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Aditya Vikram (Director, Renon India Pvt. Ltd.) came forward to donate blood, the staff members got motivated and donated blood following their footsteps.

Mr. Ankit Singhania addressed the gathering, Blood cannot be manufactured – it only comes from generous donors to save the society and mankind, we should come forward for this Noble cause. It is a way of gesture of Navitas Solar in bringing a ray of hope to alleviate the serious problems of acute shortage of blood. India faces a blood shortage of 3 million units. The problem can be addressed if an additional two percent of Indians donate blood, as opened by the Health experts. We need 12 million units of blood every year but just about nine million units are being donated.

Donors came forward voluntarily to donate blood. While addressing first time donors at the camp, volunteers brought awareness about shortage of blood and explained why we must donate blood every year to help the persons requiring blood. Blood donation can save lives of innumerable persons. Donation of blood is very critical and crucial for saving lives many patients and those who have met with accidents. It is as such a great service or contribution to the society and people living in it.

The camp completed at 4:00 pm. In the last, Ms. Siddhi Desai has given vote of thanks to all the donors and to the team of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel blood bank. Total 50 units of blood were collected in the blood donation camp arranged by Navitas Solar, which depicts the camp as a successful one. Some glimpses of the blood donation camp are given below.
